Business loan leads for UK brokers and lenders

Loanleaf business loan leads are enquiries from UK limited companies and LLPs that completed our finance form themselves, trading for at least six months with annual revenue of £50,000 or more.

  • Exclusive: each lead sold to one broker only
  • £15 to £250 per lead, priced by fundability
  • Delivered in real time to email, platform or CRM

Loanleaf business loan leads are enquiries from UK limited companies and LLPs that completed our finance form themselves, trading for at least six months with annual revenue of £50,000 or more. Each lead is sold to one broker only and costs £15 to £250 in credits, priced by how fundable the request looks.

How to buy business loan leads in the UK

Deciding where to buy business loan leads looks simple and is easy to get wrong. You pay for a business owner's enquiry, then you call, qualify and place the deal. Whether that spend comes back depends less on the headline price than on what sits behind each lead.

Before you commit budget to any business loan leads provider, it helps to put the same six questions to each one:

  • Is the lead exclusive to you, or sold to several firms at once?
  • How was it qualified, and what was filtered out before you saw it?
  • How is the price set, and can you see why one lead costs more than another?
  • Did the business owner give clear consent to be contacted, and can you see the record?
  • How quickly does the lead reach you after the owner submits?
  • What happens if the contact details turn out to be wrong?

The rest of this guide takes each question in turn, explains what a good answer looks like, and sets out how Loanleaf handles it. If you specialise in one product, our pages on merchant cash advance leads and asset finance leads go further into those.

Exclusive or shared: why it matters

Shared leads are sold to several brokers at the same time. They cost less per lead, but the business owner may get a string of calls within the hour, and the first firm to get through usually sets the tone. Everyone after that is calling someone who already feels chased.

Exclusive business loan leads cost more per lead because you are paying for the only conversation. That gives you room to understand the business properly instead of racing to be first.

Every Loanleaf lead is sold to one broker only. Once you buy it, it disappears from the platform for everyone else and is never resold. Repeat enquiries from the same phone number or email within 90 days are not sold again either, so you are not paying twice for a business you have already spoken to.

How each lead is qualified

Pre-qualified business loan leads should be filtered before you pay for them, not after. The useful question for any provider is what it actually checks, and what it leaves for you to find out.

Our enquiry form applies these filters before an enquiry can be submitted:

  • UK limited companies and limited liability partnerships only. Sole traders, ordinary partnerships and businesses not yet trading are turned away.
  • At least 6 months trading.
  • Annual revenue of £50,000 or more.
  • A loan amount chosen from £5,000 to £2m+.
  • A valid UK mobile number, checked on the form.
  • An email address on a domain that can receive email.

Each lead also carries a quality score from 0 to 100, based on credit history, time trading, revenue, urgency and existing debt. It is a quick way to sort a busy queue, not a credit decision.

Keeping to limited companies and LLPs means these are commercial loan leads, focused on business lending rather than consumer credit. You remain responsible for your own regulatory position, including FCA authorisation where your activities require it.

Where the leads come from, and how consent is recorded

Ask anyone with business loan leads for sale where they come from. Data that was bought in, scraped, or collected for one purpose and resold for another tends to produce awkward calls and unhappy business owners.

Every Loanleaf lead is a business owner who completed the enquiry form on the Loanleaf website after finding us through search, content or paid online advertising, including Meta. We do not use bought-in data, scraped lists or cold contacts.

Before submitting, the owner ticks two separate boxes. The first accepts our terms and privacy policy and confirms they understand Loanleaf is an introducer, not a lender or broker. The second consents to their details being shared with a matched broker who may contact them by phone, email or text about business finance.

The exact wording the owner agreed to and the timestamp are recorded and supplied with the lead. If you ever need to show how a contact came to you, the record is already in your hands.

What a lead looks like

When you buy a lead, this is what you receive:

  • Loan amount, from £5,000 to £2m+.
  • Purpose: growth and expansion, cash flow, equipment or vehicles, stock and inventory, commercial property (buy, build or refurbish), refinancing existing debt, a tax or VAT bill, or something else.
  • Timing: as soon as possible, within 2 weeks, within a month, or just exploring options.
  • Company structure: Ltd or LLP.
  • Annual revenue band, from £50k to £100k up to £5m+.
  • Time trading band, from 6 to 12 months up to 5+ years.
  • Missed payments, defaults or CCJs in the last 6 years: no, yes or not sure.
  • Existing finance, with bands for the amount left to repay and the monthly repayments.
  • Contact details: name, business name, UK mobile and email.
  • Source page, timestamp, consent record and quality score.

It is just as important to know what is not included. The form does not ask about card takings or card machine turnover, property value or loan to value, the property address, whether a property is residential or commercial investment, planning status, sector, director names, or bank statements. Those belong on your first call, and leaving them out keeps the form short enough that owners finish it.

Before buying, you see a summary of every live lead: amount, purpose, timeline, revenue, trading time, credit history, existing finance and quality score. Contact details are masked, for example a***@b****.co.uk and +447*******90, with checks showing a valid UK mobile and a verified email domain. The business name and full contact details unlock when you buy.

How lead prices are set, with worked examples

Flat pricing charges the same for a £5m ask from a six month old business as for a sensible request from an established one. That rarely reflects what either lead is worth to you.

On Loanleaf, 1 credit equals £1 of lead value, and each lead costs 15 to 250 credits. The price comes from a scoring model that looks at loan size, revenue, time trading, credit history and affordability, meaning whether the amount requested is realistic for the business's revenue. A sensible ask from an established business costs more. A long shot costs the minimum.

These examples come from the live model:

  • £25k loan, £100k to £250k revenue, 1 to 2 years trading: 35 credits.
  • £100k loan, £250k to £500k revenue, 2 to 5 years trading: 95 credits.
  • £250k loan, £1m to £5m revenue, 5+ years trading: 165 credits.
  • £1m loan, £1m to £5m revenue, 2 to 5 years trading: 205 credits.
  • £5m ask, £100k to £250k revenue, 6 to 12 months trading: 15 credits.

The last example shows the logic. The business is young and the ask is far beyond what its revenue would support, so the lead sits at the floor price. You can still buy it if you see something in it, but you are not paying a premium for a long shot.

To put that in budget terms, the 2,000 credits on the Starter plan would cover about 57 leads like the first example, 21 like the second, or 12 like the third. Most brokers buy a mix, and the auto-buy limits below let you control how that mix spends.

Plans, credits and the first month

Credits come from a monthly subscription. All prices exclude VAT.

  • Starter: £2,000 a month for 2,000 credits.
  • Growth: £3,500 a month for 3,850 credits (a 10% bonus).
  • Scale: £5,000 a month for 5,750 credits (a 15% bonus).
  • Custom: from £6,000 a month in £1,000 steps, with a 15% bonus. Plans over 20,000 credits a month are arranged with the team.

New partners can take a first month offer of £1,000 + VAT for 1,000 credits, then move to Starter at £2,000 + VAT a month. You can cancel at any time. Upgrades take effect straight away and downgrades apply at renewal.

Unused credits roll over while you stay subscribed, so a quiet month is not money lost. They expire when the subscription ends.

Delivery speed and auto-buy

An enquiry is at its warmest just after the owner submits it. A provider that sends leads in a daily batch is selling you a colder conversation than one that delivers as soon as you buy.

Loanleaf delivers bought leads instantly: on the platform, by email, and to your CRM by webhook in JSON. The webhook works with Zapier, Make, HubSpot, Pipedrive and any CRM that accepts webhooks.

You can buy leads one at a time in manual mode and choose to get an email when a matching lead arrives. Or you can switch on auto-buy:

  • Set your criteria: loan size range, revenue bands, purposes, time trading, and clean credit only if you want it.
  • Set your limits: leads per day, credits per day, credits per month and a maximum number of credits per lead.
  • Matching leads are bought the moment they arrive. If several brokers match, a fair rotation decides who gets it.
  • Leads above your per-lead maximum are left for manual buying, and you get an email alert so you can decide.

A simple pipeline (New, Contacted, Application, Funded, Lost) with notes and CSV export sits alongside, so you can track each lead without setting anything else up.

Refunds: a narrow, clear policy

Refund policies vary a lot between providers, and a vague one usually ends in disputes. Ours is narrow, and we would rather you knew it up front.

You can request a refund within 72 hours of purchase if the phone number is not in service or belongs to someone else, or if the email address does not exist. We do not refund for any other reason, including an owner who changes their mind, finds finance elsewhere or turns out not to suit your lenders.

That is why the summary shows so much before you buy. You decide on the information in front of you, and the mobile and email domain checks on the form reduce the chance of bad contact details in the first place.
